I would suggest painting them body colour, but actually that would make it even more bug-eyed. I wonder if painting it silver would actually work though? This is the concept car with concept-y headlights that aren't bright enough (probably). The reason they gave the production car plastic-shod LEDs was to save yet more weight, which is kind of the point of that car, so giving it normal headlights would defeat the point.

IS THIS PHOTOSHOP!? DOES THIS EXIST!?
Edit: didn't read the article. I got too excited. It looks UNIMAGINABLY BETTER. Like. I can't. I can't imagine this. Even though I see it. It is so beautiful. What a difference.

I'm really digging the paint finish, too. Better than the matte red they started with.

Those flaps presumably of same purpose as on 458?

I think they're just there for looks. They certainly would've mentioned if they did deform at speed to make downforce.

They certainly don't appear to be there on the actual car that was at the show.

Really? They saved what, 20lb over better looking lights? For shame.

I always thought that the production headlights are ruining the 4Cs otherwise great styling. They just look like genital warts. Proper headlights like these would be so awesome.

You say that, but if the difference really is 20lbs, then that's ~10kg. That one saving might be what gave it a dry weight of 895kg, and as shops that sell things as $x.99 will tell you, that makes a difference to people. It's not "around" 900kg, it's under 900kg.
Until you put fluids in. Then it's like 925kg. But people always quote the dry weight.
